At the time of the 1920 Census, he was a roomer residing at 662 Broad Street working as a laborer for an oil company. His World War I draft registration card lists him as living at 112 Broad St., Providence, a laborer with A. M. Dennis Co. on Knight St. in Providence, and supporting one child (although single). He and Adelaide apparently divorced, and she remarried Alexander O'Toole.
