Nicholas Wilbore
M, #9388, b. about 1504
Parents
Biography
Nicholas Wilbore was born about 1504 in Colchester, Essex, England. He died in Braintree, Essex, England.
He was a woolen draper, quite possibly in the class with the well known Paycock family of woolen merchants, whose house in Coggeshall is still in existence. He was originally of Colchester, where he lived in "le stone house" opposite the old town hall, but in 1548 he was in Braintree when he sold this house to John and Alice Wilbore of Colchester. He was very well to do with real estate in Braintree, Stisted, and Bocking.
