Ebenezer Leonard, Jr., was born on 10 April 1814 in Raynham, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He and
Mary Jane Hanley were married on 29 November 1835 in New Bedford, Bristol County, Massachusetts. He died on 24 May 1891 at age 77 in Acushnet, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
He was a shipbuilder. He learned boat-building from William E. Carver. He started his own shipbuilding company 1 January 1852. He specialized in whale boats, constructing some 927 of them for New Bedford shipping, carrying them the six miles to New Bedford on trucks. In the 1860 Census, they were living in Acushnet, MA, where both Ebenezer and Thomas were boat builders. He was a consistent Democrat in politics, a regular attendant of the Methodist Episcopal Church, although he was a believer in universal salvation.
According to data given to Lois Badger by the mother of Harriotte Leonard Standish, Ebenezer had 12 children, but census and other records mention only those named. He was born in Raynham, moved to Taunton when he was 16, and was a farmer. Ebenezer Leonard, Jr., had person sources.

Ebenezer Francis Leonard was born on 15 July 1845 in Acushnet, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
He was educated in New Bedford schools, learn shipbuilding trade, conducted business with brother Charles until their shop burned down in 1900. He was a selectman, assessor, overseer of poor, state representative 1904.
In the 1870 Census, he was listed as a boatbuilder living in Acushnet with wife Adaline. He and she were living there in 1910 also. He was a builder of whale boats. Ebenezer Francis Leonard had person sources.
