Reported missing of operations and casualties in the battle of Wilderness Church and Chancellorsville, Virginia on 05/02-03/1863. Was found on 05/15/1863 and taken to General Hospital #18 in Richmond, Virginia on 5/17/1863. On 05/27/1863, he was told he had to remain in the hospital for 30 days. On 06/14/1863, he was taken to General Hospital #3 in Richmond, Virginia for wounds and a face injury and furloughed for thirty days. Therefore, he was transferred home to a hospital in Wilmington, NC on 06/16/1863. After return to duty, he got a shot wound that caused a salivary fistula. A surgery was performed and recover period was several months. He returned to duty in February 1864 and was wounded ath Cold Harbor and Chancellorsville on 06/29/1864. Records indicate he may have died as a result of wounds, but it is unclear.
