John Leonard was born in 1738 in Princeton, Mercer County, New Jersey. He and
Elizabeth Lawrence were married on 27 May 1771 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He died on 31 January 1783 at age ~45 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
